Personal Care Services

Personal care services or personal assistance services are aimed at assisting the elderly person (consumer) to complete a daily living task that can be performed if the consumer had no disability. The assistance provides for daily tasks and is not limited to bathing, eating, dressing, personal hygiene, transportation, laundry, and other daily living tasks.

Home and Community Based Services

Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) are supportive services that make it possible for individuals with disabilities and older Pennsylvanians to live in their homes and communities rather than institutions or other isolated settings. Some of these services are provided through Medical Assistance, a health care program funded by state and federal monies, individuals families and communities, social and other services. Long Term Living Program (OLTL)

Long-term care, sometimes referred to as long-term living, is a wide range of assistive services provided to an individual based on their needs. OLTL serves individuals in PA in five waivers and one state funded programs.

  • Independence Waiver

Respite Care

Respite care services are provided to support elderly person on a short term basis due to the absence or need for relief of those persons normally providing care. Elderly person eligible for respite care are family caregivers providing care for individuals age 60 or older and family caregivers providing care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (regardless of age).
